Jean Tabary "TWIST" Carbon Fiber Endpin For Cello & Bass

"Jean Tabary workshop has just released the JT "TWIST" CARBON-FIBER ENDPIN. This new design incorporates a twisting collar instead of a traditional thumbscrew to secure the endpin.
To extend or retract the rod, just twist the collar either clockwise or counter-clockwise to release tension; to lock simply twist in the opposite direction. Equal pressure is distributed around the complete circumference of the rod allowing it to lock more effectively."
